Barbara Ann Corcoran

 Barbara Ann Corcoran was a businesswoman, investor and speaker from the United American. The Corcoran Group is a New York-based real estate brokerage. In 2001, it was transferred to NRT at $66 million. Corcoran quit the firm shortly thereafter. Corcoran has participated in 12 of ABC's Shark Tank seasons. As of February 2020 she had signed 53 deals. The most significant of these was a purchase of $350,000 to Coverplay at 40%. Corcoran was the second of a family of 10 kids born to an Irish-Catholic couple working in the middle class located in Edgewater, New Jersey. Florence was her mother. She was a household worker. Edwin W. Corcoran Jr. was her father through Corcoran's early years. Her family sometimes depended on free food delivery from a friendly local grocery store. Corcoran says that her father was a drunk who treated her mother with disrespectful and condescension. Corcoran had difficulty at school and was later told she was dyslexic. Corcoran attended an Catholic elementary school and then enrolled in high school in Englewood at St. Cecilia High School. Corcoran was fluent in several courses during her first year. She transferred to Leonia High School and graduated with a grade of D.
