She has appeared as a guest on shows like Real Time with Bill Maher, Fox News (CNBC), Fox News (Fox News) as well as CNN (CNBC). As of 2020, Ball is married to Jonathan Dariyanani. She was able to see the impact that it had on the citizens of her home country and gained an appreciation for the worldwide reach of US politics. She was a Senior Fellow of the New Leaders Council. Ball was the Democratic Party's candidate for Congress in Virginia's 1st congressional District in 2010. She was defeated by Rob Wittman, the Republican incumbent. From June 2012 to July 2015, she was host of The Cycle, an MSNBC show The Cycle. She created the People's House Project (a political action committee that is dedicated to Democratic causes) in May of 2017.
