Kyra Minturn

 KyraMinturn Sedgwick, born August 19, 1965 is an American actress. Her most prominent role is that of the Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson, on TNT's crime series The Closer. In her role as Johnson, Sedgwick won a Golden Globe Award in 2007 as well as an Emmy Award in 2010. After the seventh season Sedgwick won the Golden Globe Award in 2007 and an Emmy Award in 2010. The series ended August 13 in 2012. Sedgwick's performance as Madeline Wuntch in the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine is also noteworthy. Sedgwick was awarded an Golden Globe nomination for her performance as Madeline Wuntch in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's film appearances include Oliver Stone's Born on the Fourth of July (1989) and Cameron Crowe's Solos (1992), Heart and Souls (93), Phenomenon (2000), What's cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). The actress also appeared in The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was the daughter of Patricia Rosenwald, Speech and Family Therapist and Henry Dwight Sedgwick IV, a venture capitalist. Her birthplace was in New York City. Her mother was Jewish. Her father was Episcopalian and of English descent. Sedgwick is a self-described Jewish, and she has claimed that she attends in Passover seders.
