Catherine Anne
Catherine Anne O'Hara OOC (born March 4 1954), is a Canadian-American actor and comedian. O'Hara has won a number of awards that include the Genie Award, a Golden Globe Award and two Screen Actors Guild Awards, two Primetime Emmy Awards, and six Canadian Screen Awards. In 2018, O'Hara was made an Officer of Canada. In the year 2020, she was awarded the Governor General’s Performing Arts Performing Arts Artistic Achievement Award. O'Hara made her debut as an actress in 1974 when she was a member of The Second City in Toronto. Together with John Candy, O'Hara was part of the main ensemble cast for the sitcom Coming Up Rosie (1975-1978). O'Hara was a part of Candy in the sketch comedy show Second City Television (1976-1984). She received critical acclaim both for her writing and acting skills and was honored with a Primetime Emmy Award, 1981 for Outstanding Writing in a Variety Series. O'Hara was appointed to the Second City artistic advisory panel in 2022 by Stephen Colbert.
